Warranty & Repairs

This page outlines our policies for warranty and repairs as well as some information on sales policies.

We're a small shop (just one human 😎, two cats 🐈🐈⬛, and an octopus 🐙, actually) so we try to keep things simple, fair, and clear.

For any issues not covered here, email us at info@mayasonic.com.

📍 Also, click on the menu links for Shipping and Returns to read those policies.

Lifetime warranty

We offer a lifetime warranty to the original owner of any Mayasonic pedal purchased directly from us or from an authorized dealer. This warranty is good for as long as we’re in business. If something goes wrong and it’s our fault, we’ll fix it.

What's covered:

  • Defects in materials or workmanship under normal use. Repairs or replacement at our discretion.

What's not covered:

  • Unauthorized electronic modification to a pedal’s circuit board or components.
  • Normal wear and tear (e.g. cosmetic weathering of enclosure/graphics, switches, jacks, etc.).
  • Any damage as a result of unreasonable physical treatment, liquid spills, abuse, or misuse.
  • Damage from incorrect power—always use a standard center-negative supply.

Keep your receipt! Warranty claims require proof of purchase showing you're the original owner. (If you bought direct from us, we can usually look it up.)

Not transferable. The warranty applies only to the original owner.

Repairs & Service

Before sending in your pedal

If your pedal isn’t working right, don’t worry, we can take care of you.

Before contacting us, make sure that the problem isn't somewhere else than the pedal.

Here's some things to try when troubleshooting:

  • Plug your guitar straight into your amp. Make sure those are working correctly first.
  • Then try the pedal by itself. Take it off your pedalboard and plug straight into it.
  • Use a different power supply.
  • Check your cables.
  • Try a different amp or guitar.
  • Try a different power outlet (or even another room or building if the issue is noise).

If, after trying everything to isolate the problem, you're still having issues with your pedal—email us at info@mayasonic.com and we'll try to sort out what's going on. If we decide that you need to send in your pedal for further examination then we will issue you a Return Authorization (RA#) first.

Sending in your pedal

Don't send your pedal in until we've issued you a Return Authorization.

If your pedal is under warranty: You pay shipping to us, we'll pay return shipping.

If your pedal is out of warranty: A flat-rate bench fee applies (covers diagnosis, repair, and return shipping). If extra costs come up (rare parts, time-consuming fixes), we’ll check with you before moving ahead. We'll give an estimated cost when issuing your RA#.

Shipping tips:

  • Please pack your pedal securely in a sturdy box with padding.
  • Don't send pedals in padded envelopes!
  • Write your RA# clearly on the outside of the shipping box.
  • Email us the tracking number so we can know when to expect it.

Most repairs should be completed within two weeks of arrival. We'll give you an estimate up front.
